There are many obvious reasons to love fall. The nip in the air that promises winter isn’t that far off, brilliant autumn colors, pumpkin in pretty much everything I eat, and knowing that Opening Day is getting closer. But there are other reasons to celebrate fall at Lake Tahoe.

“Summer on the Summit” returns to Sugar Bowl, offering two different week-long sessions of kids adventure summer camps with 5 distinct programs tailor-fit for ages 4-15, this July 21st through August 1st. The little ones (age 4-6) will enjoy the “Explore Nature” sessions, complete with entry-level hiking and rock climbing, supervised water play, arts & crafts, storytelling, games and yoga.

As temperatures of the air and lake warm, there are many North Lake Tahoe events to suit the needs of all. North Lake Tahoe businesses and organizations will host dozens of multi-day events from the mountains to the shores of the lake.
Calendared events include deck openings and parties. New this year, visitors and locals will be given passports in which they collect stamps at each business they visit. Filled passports can be turned in for prizes.
