Memorial Day at Lake Tahoe is traditionally considered a precursor to summer – a taste of things to come. This year is no different as many of the Ski Lake Tahoe resorts open for summer operations. Even if you, like me, prefer your ski resorts under a blanket of snow, there are a myriad of different ways to experience your favorite runs in the off-season. In case you missed it, the Lake Tahoe ski resorts are currently are reaping the rewards of series of powerful Pacific storms that dropped more than two feet of fresh snow over the last six days at summit elevations, allowing the ski resorts to open additional chairlifts and terrain. The recent snowfall looks to be the start of a promising December with forecasters calling for additional accumulations over the next few weeks.
