Eat, Play and Celebrate: Labor Day at Lake Tahoe

Labor Day may signify the end of summer for many, but for winter diehards, it’s one more noteworthy milestone toward our favorite time of year. Intead of mourning the changing season, I’m eagerly storing away the white clothes and looking forward to the start of the ski season.

I’m not alone. Savvy snowboarders and skiers know that Labor Day at the Lake Tahoe ski resorts is one great celebration, including tent sales, a slew of fun events and even a few races.

I am not a golfer. I’ve never been a “ball-and-stick sports” kind of girl, preferring instead to run, bike, or board my way around for fun. But I can definitely see the appeal of golf – it combines physical activity, skill, and balance in an open outdoor setting. Golf is a mental exercise, for sure; a meditation even.
