The spirit of Adventure, Guiding, & Learning is continuing at Northstar California’s Ski & Snowboard School. Regardless of your skill level, spending a day or two with our professional coaches is the best way to get the most form your time on the mountain. And with a host of new lesson types, there’s something for everyone this season.

  • Primo Private Lessons: Your personal mountain guide, elevated. Primo Private lessons are the perfect way to enjoy the entire Northstar experience, with concierge-level service in every facet of your visit. Ski the best spots on the mountain at the best times, enjoy lunch reservations to avoid the line and make the most of your time, and take your technique to the next level with our skilled professionals.
  • 4Her: By women, for women. Building off last year’s inaugural season, Northstar is continuing to lead efforts to make skiing and snowboarding more accessible to women. The 4Her Ultimate 4 lesson is the perfect way for women of all skill levels to learn or hone abilities in a comfortable setting. The small group setting of other female skiers and riders of similar skill level, paired with some of our finest female instructors helps create a friendly and comfortable lesson environment. Afterward, participants are encouraged to head to True North or Burton for female-led gear discussions for those looking to learn more about the equipment.
  • Kids U-4: Getting kids off to a good start is essential for creating a lifelong enjoyment of snow-sports. The Ultimate 4 lesson is ideal for kids, as smaller class sizes mean more personalized attention with students. These semi-private lessons include no more than four students per instructor, and are available for all levels of skiers and snowboarders. Particularly with children, Northstar recommends an advanced booking of three consecutive days. Not only does it streamline the process and maximize time on the mountain, our coaches have found that the three day point is when results compound into key breakthrough moments to really progress different skill sets.
  • Burton Academy: Home to the only Burton Academy in the world, Northstar California is proud to bring the progressive, terrain-based teaching approach crafted in close collaboration with Burton snowboards.
