Beyond Kirkwood’s boundaries, you’ll find infamous terrain that has been featured in many ski and snowboard flicks. Kirkwood’s backcountry terrain, inbounds or out-of-bounds, is in a class of its own!
With Expedition: Kirkwood, you’ll find a side of Kirkwood most never knew existed and work with some of the best guides and coaches in the region. We have programs to suit every desire, from a couple hours to the more intensive multi-day camps and courses. Our in-bounds programs are based around getting to the best terrain while giving you a few quick tips to progress and enjoy your day. Our out-of-bounds programs are based around solid instruction to the ever-changing environment so you and your group can make the best decisions while exploring and having an incredible experience.
Expedition: Kirkwood’s programs include Avalanche Certification Courses, Discovery Series Clinics, Women’s Programs, Cat Tours, Private Guides and specialty ski & board clinics. And our Junior Expedition Team (JETS) nurtures shredders in-the-making. Led by some of the best coaches in the Lake Tahoe Basin, Kirkwood JETS kids rip!
We also carry a full line of products for rentals and demo in our facility. All Mountain touring skis, splitboards, beacons, shovels and backpacks. We’ve got the goods the pros use.
