Ground Transportation to Lake Tahoe
Getting to the Lake Tahoe ski resorts is easier than you think. From the Reno-Tahoe International Airport, it’s approximately an hour’s drive to most area ski resorts on all season highways.
Renting a car provides flexibility and is a great way to visit all the Ski Lake Tahoe resorts in one visit. If you rent a car, you’ll need to be prepared for the possibility of snow and driving in snow conditions. Rental car companies don’t typically provide chains. That said rental cars are not exempt from chain requirements. An AWD/4WD vehicle with all-weather tires is one way to ensure you’re able to get to the ski resorts without stopping to put on chains – or paying someone to do it for you.
