Ski season is here! Mt. Rose – Ski Tahoe will open on Wednesday, Nov. 27th at 9:00 am! The recent change in weather has allowed our snowmaking crew to make snow around the clock. The Ponderosa lift will start spinning tomorrow and expansion up the Kit Carson Bowl and then to the top of the mountain will evolve as conditions permit throughout the week.

Temperatures have been dropping in Lake Tahoe and the squirrels and bears have been active! Mt. Rose already received its first snow Sep. 26th and another dusting on Oct. 9th, a sign of an early winter. But we need just a bit more to start making snow. Here's a note from our Head Groomer Dave Hahl:
