Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort takes a lot of pride in being the “local’s” mountain. We do our best at Sierra Resort to make each guest feel like they are part of our family, whether it’s your first visit or you’ve been here a hundred times. Either way we hope each time you come to the resort, you feel like you’re coming home.
Recently Sierra has seen some of its family members excel far beyond just the parks and pipe at Sierra. Jamie Anderson, Maddie Bowman and Hannah Teter are each apart of the Sierra family and have been killing it around the globe. Like any good family member would, we thought we’d take a second or two to give kudos to our talented team riders and say way to go…
This past X Games Jamie Anderson took home gold in Women’s Snowboard Slopestyle, giving her a total of three X Games gold medals (2007, 2008, 2012). Anderson dominated the field earning the highest score in Women’s Snowboard Slopestyle history with a 95.33. Anderson has entered two major contests in since and won both.
In only her second X Games appearance, Maddie Bowman took home silver in Women’s Ski Superpipe. Bowman continues her dominating 2012 competition campaign, which includes second place at the North Face Park and Pipe, first place at the Dew Tour in Killington, VT and third at Dew Tour in Snowbasin, UT. Bowman’s next stop will be Mammoth for the US Grand Prix followed by France where she’ll look to claim her first Euro X medal.
Finally, X Games veteran Hannah Teter stood on the podium with a bronze in Women’s Snowboard Superpipe. Teter adds to her already impressive list of snowboard accomplishments, which include an Olympic gold and bronze medal. Not too shabby.
We are extremely proud of each of these gals and want to wish them good luck as they continue to travel the globe, representing Sierra this competition season.
We’d also like to invite you to join the family. Who knows you could be the next Jamie, Maddie, or Hannah. See you on the mountain.
