Are You Ready for Snow?

Jan 18th 2012

Powder skiing at Squaw Valley

Are you ready? Temperatures are dropping and moisture will be in the air. Sounds like we should be seeing snow above 7,000’ starting Wednesday night and some weather continuing throughout the weekend!

Snow has arrived! Praise the snow gods by getting ready for a wonderful winter at Squaw and Alpine. The best way to do that is by purchasing a Tahoe Super 4. Why you ask? Simple. You can access 6,000 acres, 43 lifts and 270 trails for just $73 a day all while saving time and your wallet! Tip: A quick way to access both Squaw and Alpine this season is to hop on the Squaw/Alpine Express, conveniently dropping you off at the base of Squaw and Alpine every 20 minutes.

Never been skiing or riding? Now is your chance! The month of January is Learn to Ski and Ride month and we’re celebrating our favorite winter sport by offering $69 first-time packages every day this month. Bring your friends, family, neighbors or anyone looking to try out a new sport to Squaw and Alpine. The package includes everything you need- lift ticket, lesson and equipment rental.

After you’ve had a fulfilling day on the slopes, check out one of the many activities off the mountain. New this year at Squaw Valley is the SnoVentures Activity Zone. Here, kids can race around on our new mini-snowmobiles. If you’re looking for a great family activity, look no further than our expanded tubing hill, complete with 3 lanes of high-flying fun. Relax by one of our large fire pits and enjoy live après music every Saturday in The Village at Squaw Valley. Grab a bite to eat at one of the many eateries located in the Village. Check out the latest hotspot, Rocker@Squaw, featuring an expansive menu of craft beers on tap, juicy burgers and our favorite- the smoked BBQ ribs.

The snow is here folks, and the fun has just begun at Squaw and Alpine. With jam packed events, off-mountain activities and snow in the forecast- you’ve got to come check it out for yourself!
