Mt. Rose – Ski Tahoe Provides Great Value

Jan 19th 2011

Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe skier

Mt. Rose is Tahoe’s closest skiing to Reno, located just 25 minutes away from the Reno/Tahoe International Airport and 15 minutes away from North Lake Tahoe. With the Happy Landings special, you can fly in and ski the same day, then get your next day’s lift ticket free. Affordable ski and stay packages out of Reno start at $79, so you can enjoy the nightlife of Reno and hit the slopes the next day.

Daily Specials such as Bonus Mondays, Two ‘fer Tuesdays, Over the Hill/Student Wednesdays, Ladies Day Thursdays and Runs N’ Roses make Mt. Rose perfect for the first or last day of your vacation. The $138 3-Day Consecutive or $179 5-Day Consecutive lift ticket packages can be bought online at www.skirose.com, along with discounted single day tickets.
Mt. Rose has outstanding terrain from wide open groomers to heart pounding Chutes. Two six-pack high speed chairlifts launch you to the top of the mountain in 3.5 minutes accessing 1200+ acres of skiable terrain. Park your car slope side and be on the mountain in minutes.
Mt. Rose has a lot of fun signature events coming up this season, including the following:
January 29th- Slide Back Retro Party
If you still think that “New School” equates to stretch pants that leave nothing to the imagination, rear-entry boots and old skinny skis, then you’ll fit right in at Mt. Rose’s Slide Back Retro Ski Party. Break all of the ski fashion laws on this one-day only event (to be held on the main Rose side).
February 12th- King of the Mountain Chutes Comp
This special one-of-a-kind event combines a Chutes best line competition, public racing, and obstacle course. More details TBA.
March 12th- Dummy Downhill
Mt.Rose - Ski Tahoe opens the gate to high-flying, speed demons of every shape and size, with one catch- no live pulse can accompany any entry. Witness pure lunacy as dummies compete for the best run down Show-Off, directly in front of the Mt. Rose main lodge.
April 2nd- Pond Skim (Details TBA)

Mt. Rose events are weather permitting and subject to change. For the most updated information, please check out the complete calendar on skirose.com
