Making 2014 the Best Year Yet

Jan 2nd 2014

Snowy trees and sky

This is the time of year when we start thinking about our resolutions, and what we want to do to make this the best year ever. Since we’re all about snowsports, our list has a decidedly winter slant.

  1. Try something new – If you ski, why not try snowboarding? If you snowboard, why not try telemark skiing? We’re going to try to set our fears aside and hit the terrain park this year. With helmets.
  2. Take a lesson – Whether you’re new to snowboarding and skiing or an old pro, a lesson is a great refresh on technique. It’s also a great way to introduce a friend or loved one to the sport.
  3. Get a boot fit – They say that boots are the window to your boards (or something like that). If your boots hurt or don’t fit properly, it’s hard to enjoy your day - or week - on the slopes. Take it from us; a visit to a boot fitter is an investment you won’t regret.
  4. Stay ski/snowboard fit all year round – Yeah, this one can be a challenge. But we’ve found that playing outside (here at Lake Tahoe, natch) is a good way to keep the fun and fitness going all year round. Plus it's fun, and isn't that what it's all about?

What are your New Year’s resolutions? Let us know in the comments.
