Winter at Lake Tahoe is truly special. Whether it’s the spectacular scenic beauty of North America’s largest alpine lake, the incredible skiing and snowboarding terrain, the perfect blend of big snowfall and West Coast sunshine, or the community of world-class athletes and individuals that live in the area, it provides wide-ranging opportunities and inspiration for those that call it home.
Ski Lake Tahoe was invited to organize an exhibit at the Reno-Tahoe International Airport’s dePARTures art gallery this winter. Called Winter Inspired, this exhibit includes photographers, artists and makers from the region presenting their interpretations of how winter at Lake Tahoe inspires them.
We’re pleased to feature images from renowned photographers like Keoki Flagg, Corey Rich, Hank de Vre, Court Leve, Ian Ruhter and Scott Sady, along with video produced by acclaimed DP and cameraman Tom Day. Local ski manufacturers Moment and Praxis have displayed unique skis for Lake Tahoe’s terrain and snowfall, and Forest Furniture has provided some Adirondack chairs made out of skis for visitors to enjoy.
The Winter Inspired exhibit will be on display through April 2014. If your travels take you through the Reno-Tahoe International Airport, be sure to check it out!
