Who says safety can’t be fun? The Ski Lake Tahoe resorts are taking this year’s National Safety Awareness Week to a whole new level with plenty of varied and unique activities designed to help you learn how to stay safe on the slopes. Safety week isn’t just about the Skiers and Snowboarder’s Responsibility Code. Though don’t get us wrong, that’s still very important. As is sunscreen.
Throughout the week there will be opportunities to meet (and thank) ski patrollers, avalanche dogs, groomers, snowmakers, park crew, and even pro athletes. Or take an avalanche awareness workshop, and maybe see a Cal Star Air Ambulance up close. There will also be various kids’ activities, a poker run, numerous contests, even a chance to do sweep with ski patrol!
National Safety Awareness Week runs January 19 – 26, 2013. Check out the ski resort links below for more information on specific activities. Stay safe, and see you on the slopes!
