Elevate Your Squaw Experience This Summer

Jul 2nd 2013

Squaw Valley Wanderlust Yoga Studio

We are now in summer mode. Fully. And we couldn’t be happier. Why? It certainly can be attributed to the sunny Tahoe days, but what we’re really jazzed over are the new additions of activities and improvements in the Village at Squaw Valley. Let us break it down for you. And after, we hope you’ll check out these new improvements for yourself.

$2.7 Million in Room & Facility Upgrades

We’ve made some major improvements to our slopeside condominiums! Rooms now feature new mattresses, bedding, carpets and décor. We’ve also added air conditioning units in most rooms and flat screen TV’s are now installed for the perfect family movie night. Rooms are either outfitted in a rustic elegance or a mountain contemporary feel. Experience the newly upgraded rooms this summer and you’ll receive two free Aerial Tram and pool tickets. Be a vacationer at Squaw.

Wanderlust Yoga Studio

The new 1,000 square foot yoga studio will serve as a sanctuary for all to further their practice. Hardwood floors meet large picture windows, offering extraordinary views of Tram Face and Squaw Valley’s legendary mountain peaks. The new yoga studio offers a variety of classes ranging in Vinyassa to Hatha, taught by local instructors. Each month, we will offer sessions that combine vibrant music and yoga practice. Sweet, right? Allow the soothing sounds of the acoustic guitar or the upbeat rhythm of a DJ mix board open your mind and deepen your stretch. View the full class schedule and specialty workshops.

Free Base Area Activities

Little girl croquet at Squaw ValleyIt’s a late summer afternoon and you’ve spent the entire day splashing around at the pool at High Camp. Take the Aerial Tram down to the base area and enjoy a delicious relaxing lunch on Rocker@Squaw’s patio. Let the kids roam over to our new activity center where they can play lawn games like croquet, ladder ball, bag toss or try out slack lining. All of these activities are free and right off the Rocker patio. So while you are enjoying a refreshing beverage, you can still have an eye on the kiddos!

On top of all the new activities and improvements, we’re bringing back the classics of summer- like Bluesdays. Every Tuesday in July and August is Bluesdays at Squaw. Take advantage of discounted Aerial Tram rides, free music from renowned Blues artists and blue dot deals in the Village. There you have it, summer explorers. We hope to see you grooving and shaking this summer!
